Our design teams are lead by Harvard graduated and Australian educated architects. We offer design solutions ranging from architecture to interior design, from product design to branding solution, from exhibition design to temporary installations. By understanding the wholistic strategy and considering every detail aspects of each projects, we are able to deliver exclusive and tailored design solutions for each individual clients.
OUR FOUNDERS
Eddieleong Chong Tat
Founder / Creative Director / Macao Licensed Architect

Eddie Ieong graduated from the University of South Australia and was granted the Master of Architecture in 2012. By 2011, he participated in the Pitt Water Student Summer School organized by AIA Gold medal winner Australian architects Richard Leplastrier, Peter Stutchbury and Lindsay Johnston. By 2012, Ieong participated in the Glenn Murcutt Master Class organized by the Pritzker Prize winning architect Glenn Murcutt himself.

Returning to Macau, Ieong worked in an international architecture firm Aedas and a local architecture firm JWCC Architecture for three and a half year, focusing on design and project management, ranged from residential to hotel projects. In 2017, he has co-founded Eddie Ieong Architects Limited, focusing on architecture and interior design, striving to apply the Australian sustainable architecture methodology to the Macau context. In 2018, he joined force with Manuel Lam to establish the EdVolks Architecture Design Limited.


ManuelLam Lap Yan
Founder / Creative Director / Macao Licensed Architect

Manuel Lam received Master of Architecture at Harvard University, where he was admitted with advanced placement into the Master Program. Mr. Lam also received his Bachelor of Art in Architecture at University of California Berkeley and graduated with honor.

During the academic years in Harvard, he had an internship in London at the world-renowned architecture firm, Foster & Partners. Upon graduation, he worked at Sasaki Associates, a multi-disciplinary award-winning design company in Boston. As a Design Associate, he worked closely with Urban Design Principle, Janne Corneil; projects ranged from downtown urban renewal to sustainable master planning . Prior to Harvard, he worked as a construction team leader for Habitat for Humanity International, a non-profit public organization, to build homes for and with low-income families.

After relocating to his hometown Macau, he established the Volks Design & Research Consulting Ltd., an inter-disciplinary design practice in 2015. The practice provides architecture, interior, urban design, graphic, product design and exhibition installation design services. During the fall 2015 and the fall 2016, Mr. Lam has been a visiting professor at the University of Saint Joseph as lecturer and design critics. In 2018, he joined force with Eddie Ieong to establish the EdVolks Architecture Design Limited.
